Manual mode..
In the past couple of days we’ve covered mostly everything there is to know in semi auto modes..
but for your sake I hope you dont skip those articles as it will be needed while using full manual.. Some of you might not like the manual mode at first but hang in there and you will get the hang of it.
Manual mode basically enables u to set your shutter/aperture and iso the way you want it.. no camera calculations taking place. This is the best way since your camera can’t read your mind and somewhere along the lines you’ll like this better..
IMHO those of you who own a Digital SLR and shoot in full auto have wasted your money on a piece of equipment you treating as a normal Point and Shoot camera. Sure it takes good pictures in auto, but its strength is determined by you, the photographer. Take control of your camera.
Turn the dial set it to “M”. Ok with the dial turned to M, firstly set your ISO.. very important to keep the noise levels down and use a low ISO whenever possible. Secondly set shutter speed by turning the scroll wheel near the shutter button.. Remember to keep the Shutter at 1/60 and not below that when shooting free hand. Below that you might need a steady surface to place the camera. Lastly we will wanna set our aperture to control depth of field in the image.. Hold the AV button and turn the scroll wheel.
So this basically sets you up in full manual.. This is especially good to use when working with flash. Thats another topic all together. The only advice I could give you now is to practice and experiment.
