Semi Auto Part 3

I know that learning these things can get kinda boring but its the basic knowledge I think one needs. Like building a house, it needs a solid foundation. Even though I’m probably not the right person to be giving you advice I think it will somehow improve the way you take your photo’s.
And whats knowledge if you don’t share it right ?

We covered the f lock in my last post… Lets look at the AV button on your camera.
What the av button does is, allows you to adjust the exposure of your scene. Check it out its pretty self explanatory. Press the AV button and then use the scroll wheel thats located close to the shutter button. Moving the wheel right increases the exposure and visa versa.

Simple right.. Just take note of one thing, when increasing your exposure the shutter speed will change, depending on how dark the scene is. Be sure to watch the shutter speed as a shutter speed lower than 1/60th normally will get some sort of camera shake if shot without support(tripod, table, rock). If lower than 1/6oth then support the camera.

Thats basically the exposure control in a nutshell..

If you want exposure control out of the nutshell go here..
